Subsidy

WCBS Subsidy Program

Mission

The WCBS committee is excited to announce a new Subsidy program to ease financial constraints on potential Bible school attendees. The goal of the program is to grow attendance for the long-term by encouraging young adults to attend, supporting impactful roles, and helping any attendee based on genuine need.

Details

This year the Subsidy program is offering two subsidies:

  • Young adult subsidy: a limited number of subsidies are available to anyone around the ages 18-25 years old to attend the Bible school for a flat rate of $100.
  • General subsidy: any attendee who feels as though financial considerations may prevent them from attending the Bible school are encouraged to apply for the general subsidy to attend the Bible school at 50% tuition fees.

The WCBS committee may also reach out to offer subsidies to individuals serving in impactful roles (e.g. music director, children’s program organizer, etc.) to encourage individuals offering their valuable skills to the Bible school.

Funding

The program has been funded by an initial round of generous donations. Further support, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated.

Call to action

If you know anyone who would be interested in attending the Bible school but may be prevented from doing so due to financial considerations (including the cost of travel), please reach out to them about the Subsidy program. Any questions can be directed to the WCBS committee at wcbsportland@gmail.com.
